What are the chances of Crown Holdings hiring a felon?

Is Crown Holdings on the Ban the Box list?

Nothing we found showed that Crown Holdings supported The Ban the Box campaign or The Fair Chance Business Pledge. Each campaign was created specifically for former offenders.

Ban the Box is a campaign used to persuade employers to remove questions about criminal records from their applications. The Fair Chance Business Pledge is made up of companies committed to practicing fair hiring policies — even for former felons. Their goal is to make it easier for felons to have a fair chance at employment that is based on skills, not on criminal records.

However, you should know that Crown Holdings does not ask about any criminal history on their application.

Does Crown Holdings have programs for hiring felons?

Crown Holdings, unfortunately, is not a company that offers programs for felons.

The good news is there are many programs and agencies that help former felons. Some of these programs provide money for work clothes or tools, give you substance abuse support and they’ll even assist you in starting your own business.

An example is Vocational Rehabilitation. They offer several different types of assistance, so make sure you check them out.

  • Review — Review the company and all of their jobs. Make sure the job that you are interested in is one you have the skills for. • Resume — Be sure to review our site to get great suggestions on dressing up your resume. Always have someone look over your resume before you submit it. Get some feedback before you send it in.
  • Application — It’s best to have your resume handy before you begin your application. Crown Holdings does request that you submit your resume with your application. Take your time and answer all questions. Here is what they say about their application:

What felonies Crown Holdings will not hire

We don’t know what felonies are instantly disqualifying for a strong applicant, but we do know what charges make Crown Holdings nervous. Read below.

What felony convictions might have a hard time getting hired here?

There are some convictions that may have a difficult time getting hired at Crown Holdings.

Due to the materials, tools and machines you would have access to, you can expect them to look at theft and violent convictions.

Drug convictions might have a hard time getting hired as well. Safety is important for companies like this, so if you can’t convince them your past is the past, these charges might be a barrier for you.

Does Crown Holdings hire sex offenders?

We aren’t sure because the comapny didn’t tell us and we didn’t see anything firm online about how Crown Holdings handles sex offender applicants.

Does Crown Holdings drug test?

Yes. Crown Holdings does their drug screen before you are hired. They also require a physical to make sure you are able to perform all duties required. You must be able to pass both to be employed here.
