Because we were unable to reach a Circle K representative, there’s no definitive answer to whether or not they do background checks. Most companies do perform a background check at some point during the hiring process though. Online sources show that some Circle K locations will conduct a background check, while other locations do not.

The company didn’t give us a list, but the next section covers the charges we think woulc cause you the most trouble.
What felony convictions might have a hard time getting hired here?
Does Circle K hire felons? It looks like the answer to this is yes, but there are some felonies to be aware of:
- Theft charges may make it difficult when dealing with cash or merchandise
- Identity theft could pose a problem when working with a credit card machine
- Violent or hate crimes could interfere because you will be in direct contact with the general public.
However, this is where being honest and upfront will work to your benefit. Using the interview process as your platform, you will be able to let the company representative know about any prior convictions and the steps you’ve taken to overcome them.
Does Circle K hire sex offenders?
We don’t know. Circle K hasn’t said if they hire sex offenders or not, and online sources are silent on this.
Does Circle K drug test?
We don’t know firsthand if Circle K conducts drug tests. When applying for any position, it’s best to play it safe and move forward as if they do. Nothing good comes from going through the interview process just to fail a drug screen!
