You’re a former felon looking for a new job and you’d like to know: Does Integrity Staffing hire felons? Look no further, because we contacted them directly to find out for you!

Many of us here at Relaunch Pad have criminal records ourselves, so we know how hard it can be to find a job. But that’s also why we want to help you! In this article, we will answer some other questions you may have about Integrity Staffing before you register with them, such as:

  • How do I get a job at Integrity Staffing with a felony?
  • Does Integrity Staffing hire people with misdemeanors?
  • Does Integrity Staffing do background checks?

Integrity Staffing is a staffing or ‘temp’ agency that hires for all kinds of companies for both temporary and full-time work. They serve thousands of clients all over the USA and are one of the largest staffing firms in the country.

Official company policy for hiring felons

When we asked them about their policy for hiring felons, Integrity Staffing said the following:

“We encourage all to apply using our process, no matter their background. There are some situations that we can work with and no one is automatically disqualified. That being said, we cannot guarantee any position. Please answer all questions honestly, and if the system halts you to answer more questions please call 888.458.8367 and ask for compliance.”

So, does Integrity Staffing hire felons, then? All signs point to yes. They encourage all to apply, which means we’re off to a good start. As a former felon, some jobs may still be off limits to you, but a lot of them won’t be. We’ve looked into this, too, so read on!

Has Integrity Staffing hired felons in the past?

We saw many questions like this one asked online, but haven’t found any reliable answer so far. However, the statement regarding their hiring policy above sounds like it may be based on precedent, or at the very least makes it likely that they have hired felons in the past.

Does Integrity Staffing hire people with misdemeanors?

Since Integrity Staffing wants to give felons a fair chance, they are probably going to be even more accommodating with misdemeanors, which are less severe than felonies.

Is Integrity Staffing on the Ban the Box list?

Ban the Box is an initiative that aims to make the job search easier on former felons by getting employers to remove questions about a person’s criminal record from application forms.

Similarly, The Fair Chance Business Pledge, introduced by the Obama administration, encourages businesses to try and help former felons with their reentry into the workforce.

Integrity Staffing has unfortunately not taken the Pledge and is not on the Ban the Box list as of now. But this does not automatically translate to a drawback! A company’s hiring policy — and attitude — is just as important, and Integrity Staffing is committed to helping everyone find work, regardless of their past.

Does Integrity Staffing have special programs for hiring felons?

No. But if you’d like to check out a program that might be helpful to you, see the Second Chance Offender Rehabilitation Effort (SCORE) program. This is a government initiative that helps with many aspects of a former felon reentering the workforce.

You can also check out The Federal Bonding Program, which provides free insurance for employers in the first six months of employing a former felon. For more information on how you can benefit from this program, see their website.

What are the odds someone with a felony will get hired?

Average likelihood of being hired with a felony

Average. Former felons can get certain jobs at Integrity Staffing, while other positions are off-limits. But with so many options, there’s always another application to fill out. Check further below for our tips on how you can ace your next one.

What are some entry-level jobs?

Integrity Staffing is a platform that offers jobs at a large variety of companies, so there’s something for everyone. Some areas of hiring include Office, Clerical, Professional and Light Industrial positions, for example.

If that sounds good, you could look at becoming an Entry-level Warehouse Associate. Though this job does have “entry-level” in the title, it actually requires a few months of experience in a similar field. You’ll be sorting goods and preparing things for shipping or storage, among other things. This job is reasonably physical as it involves long periods of standing and some lifting.

Another option is Office Assistant. Here you’ll work as a secretary, filing things, typing, manning the phone and answering mail. Previous experience isn’t a must for a lot of these jobs, though you need to know your way around MS Office.

Then there are manufacturing jobs for a variety of things from bicycle wheels to furniture. With no experience, you can still work in the assembly line or the packaging section of a factory. If that seems too physical for you, you can be a Mail Processor (someone who prints, mails and files letters and packages at a company).

Additionally, many jobs don’t require work experience, but a specific skill. One example is a forklift operator, which you need to be certified for.

Remember that these are just some of the wide variety of jobs available. The list changes from day-to-day. Once you register with Integrity Staffing, you can find jobs specific to your skillset, preferences and schedule.

How to get hired at Integrity Staffing with a felony

Integrity Staffing told us:

“Hiring decisions are made by the hiring manager of Integrity Staffing with input from their client companies. Company-wide guidelines are also followed, but nobody is automatically excluded. Typically in these situations, the hiring manager is the final decision maker with Human Resources supporting the manager and ensuring that Federal, State, Local, and company policies are followed.”

Still unsure how to get hired at Integrity staffing? First, you will need to create a profile on their careers site. Once you’ve done that, you can refine your job search to be as specific as you’d like, whether you’d like to filter according to location, working hours, or even a specific phrase or word in the title or description of the job. This way, you can widen the search as you go along, if you need to.

Once you’ve registered, it’s up to you to apply for jobs. This means you need to make sure your profile is in perfect order and you’ve got a great resume on hand when employers ask for one.

Employers look for the connections beween the applicant and the job, so make sure to tailor your resume to the job as much as possible. Look at what the job posting asks for and show them how you have those skills. Integrity Staffing hires for a variety of companies, from food and beverage multinationals like PepsiCo to global retail giants like Amazon. You’ll want to think about these companies and what they look for, as well. A little extra effort in this area will be rewarded with attention from a potential employer.

Before you send your resume out, make sure you double-check it for typos and errors and edit it to fit the job you’re applying for. If you’d like some more help with creating the perfect resume, see our guide.

Does Integrity Staffing do background checks?

Yes. Our research shows that former and current employees both report a background check was done, and while the timeframe of these varies by case, you’ll definitely have to go through a background check at some point in the hiring process.

What felony convictions might have a hard time getting hired here?

If you’d like to find a job through Integrity Staffing, a criminal record won’t necessarily keep you from doing so. Just remember that the sheer number of opportunities work in your favor. It may seem daunting, but it’s far from impossible to get a job at Integrity Staffing with a felony on your record.

That being said, certain types of crimes will keep you from being able to get some of the jobs. Crimes like theft will bar you from working with money, while a vehicle related offense will make it difficult to land a driving job, such as delivering goods.

But when in doubt, we say you should apply anyway. The worst thing that can happen is that you don’t get the job, whereas the best case scenario is an employer willing to make an exception.

Does Integrity Staffing drug test?

A drug test can and will be part of the hiring procedure for some jobs.
