What are some entry-level jobs?

How to get hired at Safeway with a felony
So, you think Safeway is a good fit for you, but aren’t sure what steps to take to get hired. That’s where we come in. We’ll help you through the application and interview process at Safeway.
The first thing you’ll want to do is fill out their online application. To do this, you’ll need to go to their careers page, choose a location and find an open position that you’re qualified for.
From there, you’ll list any prior work history, job titles and dates of employment. If you have a resume, it’s a good idea to keep it nearby so that you can enter accurate information.
If you’re looking for a pharmacy position, list certificates or training related to the field, along with dates and the certifying organization and state.
So you’ve submitted your application and received a callback. Congratulations! Now, here are our interviewing tips for Safeway:
Arrive 10-15 minutes early. You want to show the company that you can be on time and are serious about a position with them.
Wear business-casual attire. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just nice. Try hiding any tattoos and take out any piercings until you know the company’s policy on these things.
During the interview, talk up any skills, talents or experience you have related to the job and where you picked them up. For example:
- Have you worked for competing grocery stores, like Kroger, Marsh or Winn Dixie? You could talk about your experience with these companies and the skills learned. For example, how to operate a cash register.
- Did you learn how to stock by working in the commissary while in prison? Tell them how this also developed your talent for handling tough customers.
And, as always, be honest about your past. They don’t ask about it on their application, but they will run a background check, so it’s better to be truthful while you have a chance.
