Peoplelink does do background checks.
Here’s what you need to know about background checks:
When it comes to background checks, how far back they go and what they show will depend on where you live. For some states, the check only goes back seven years:
- California
- Colorado*
- Kansas*
- Maryland*
- Massachusetts
- Montana
- Nevada
- New Hampshire*
- New York*
- Texas*
- Washington*
*sometimes certain pay or salary bracket positions require one.
There are other states that only show the charges that you were found guilty of. They leave off anything that was dismissed or that you were found not guilty. Here is a list of those states:
- Alaska
- California
- Hawaii
- Indiana
- Kentucky
- Massachusetts
- Michigan
- New York
However, there are still many states that show everything on the background checks. This includes both charges where you were found guilty and those that were dismissed or that you were found not guilty of. Those states are:
- Alabama
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- Connecticut
- DC
- Delaware
- Florida
- Idaho
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Louisiana
- Maine
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Nebraska
- New Jersey
- North Carolina
- North Dakota
- Ohio
- Oregon
- Rhode Island
- South Carolina
Company ratings
The website glassdoor.com shows us that Peoplelink Group (the parent company for the staffing agency) has a 2.3 out of a possible 5-star rating and that 33% of people say they would recommend working there a friend.
We know that that number is low, but consider the nature of this job. It’s a temp placement agency that has little to no control over job security for employees. Some of the ratings are likely directed more at the places people worked and not at Peoplelink.
Many people praised the values held by the company and say it has a family feel. Most people said they enjoyed their coworkers and the benefits available.
Others said that management was very poor, especially at the upper levels. They complained that wages were low and that promotion was not available to most people.
What felonies Peoplelink Staffing will not hire
There are a number of charges the clients of Peoplelink Staffing will not hire, but those aren’t going to stop your application upon receipt. Those will only take effect when you go to get placed. Read on for the types of convictions the staffing agency tries to avoid.
What felony convictions might have a hard time getting hired here?
Are you still wondering: Does Peoplelink Staffing hire felons? We think they do, but that does not mean that every conviction will have an easy time getting placed with potential employers.
- Those with sex crime convictions may have a harder time being placed with employers who deal heavily with the public or children.
- Anyone with a driving conviction (DUI, reckless driving, vehicular homicide) may not get hired for a transportation or commercial driving job.
- If you have a theft conviction, you may find a harder time working about valuable inventory or easily removable equipment.
Does Peoplelink Staffing hire sex offenders?
There are no records of the company hiring people with sex offenses on their backgrounds, and we do know these charges will be scrutinized on your application. Unfortunately we can’t say more at this time.
Does Peoplelink Staffing drug test?
Peoplelink Staffing Solution’s website says they conduct drugs tests. The information we gained from online job boards confirms this.
