Illinois Department of Corrections Community Support Advisory Councils (CSACs) mission The purpose of CSAC is to help offenders to become productive members of their communities and to lead crime-free, drug-free lives and, thus, keep them from re-offending.

Who they help – The mission of the Division of Program and Support Services is to provide a continuum of service for those committed to the Department of Corrections from the point of incarceration to discharge from parole by providing a system for the delivery of consistent and effective programs that meet the needs of the committed offender and that enhance their ability to become a productive member of society upon release.
