Diocese of Beaumont mission – The Office of Jail and Prison Ministry was established in 1994. In October 2000, in response to the growing number of correctional facilities located in the diocese, the Office of Jail and Prison Ministry became the Office of Criminal Justice Ministry. In addition to ministering to the offender and the ex-offender, the office also ministers to the victims of crime.
