I. Voluntary Reentry Services — no referral needed
If you are still incarcerated and within 3 to 6 months of release, ask your correctional institution about enrolling in the following two programs (post-release walk-ins are also welcome):
Hartford Reentry Welcome Center

- Post-release reentry case management services for adults who were released at the end of their sentence (EOS) within the last 90 days. Services can begin as early as the day you are released.
- CT Department of Correction will provide you with transportation to the Reentry Welcome Center the day you are released EOS. Ask the Reentry Counselor at the Correctional Institution to arrange this transportation service for you.
Resettlement Program

- Pre- and post-release reentry case management service for women.
- Post-release reentry basic needs assistance for men.
- Pre- and post-release reentry substance abuse and mental health treatment services for men and women, in partnership with InterCommunity Health.
Both programs work with over 40 community partners to provide you with a wide range of services, from securing an ID to housing assistance to employment preparation and training.

II. Reentry Services — referral needed
Work Release/Halfway House

- Transitional residential program for men released from CT prisons on Community Release status. Employment is the major focus of the program.
- Referrals are made by the CT Department of Correction.

Alternative in the Community (AIC) Programs

- Community-based case management.
- Cognitive behavioral therapy.

Transitional Housing Program
