City of Virginia Beach Human Services Department mission – This program is designed to assist residents transition from state commitment to their home community. The goal is to assist residents in becoming successful, productive and contributing members of their community and society.

Services and resources are provided by the Juvenile Detention Center and other community-based reentry services providers to assist in relapse prevention and family engagement.

Who they help – Residents serve the last 30-90 days of commitment in the Reentry Program. The program offers a combination of services and resources to remove hurdles and barriers.
