Arizona Department of Corrections Inmate Programs & Reentry mission To serve and protect the people of Arizona by securely incarcerating convicted felons, by providing structured programming designed to support inmate accountability and successful community reintegration, and by providing effective supervision for those offenders conditionally released from prison.

More information on services:

  • Program Systems allows for totally centralized management of Reentry resources, to be sure that each ASPC facility and inmate has access to the tools, training, and study materials that will help them move past prison and into a normal, productive role in society.
  • Religious ministry to the incarcerated is as old as incarceration itself. The long tradition of prison chaplaincy is continued in the Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC) through the services of a variety of different channels.
  • Educational services are provided in three basic program areas: Functional Literacy, GED Preparation and Work-Based Education. Accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Rehabilitation Act of 1974, section 504 are offered to all qualifying offenders.
  • Community Corrections ensures the accurate release, effective re-entry, transition and supervision of offenders released to the community utilizing a continuum of supervision services, strategies, evidence based programs and meaningful incentives and sanctions. Community Corrections facilitates the swift return to custody of those offenders who violate conditions of supervision and who represent a serious threat to the safety of the community. Community Corrections provides meaningful interaction with victims to maintain public protection.
  • Addiction Treatment Services oversees the delivery of substance abuse treatment to ADC offenders identified as being in need of intervention.
